Shakespearean Sonnet

You may think animals have it made
They don't have school, homework, or a job
But almost all creatures can be afraid
and they are important, not just a slob

Everything and everyone has a role
Without each other, they couldn't survive
Even predators can have a large soul
Helping each other like bees in a hive

Someone must die to make another live
However, this is how their world works
They do what they have to, to stay alive
No matter their life, their kind, or their quirks

Every single species will live together
To keep Earth running alive forever

Free Verse # 5

Along the boadwalk we go, staring at the stars
The moons gleams down on the shining water
Everthing is still, pretty, and quiet
But then we listen, and we can hear
Owls hooting from the trees
Little frogs peeping on the shore
and crickets chirping in the grass
It is a still life,
but it will never be a quiet one.

Free Verse # 4

A sudden storm begins, disturbing them at rest
Birds fly everywhere, trying to return to family
Groundhogs and rabbits scurrying to their burrows
Deer run through the trees, squirrels climb above them
The thunder bangs and cracks, rumbling through the forest
A sudden momentum it is, pushing animals faster
The rain screams down, pelting everything in sight
But everyone and everything knows, that
the storm will stop at the end
And all will return to normal

Quatrain # 5 Problem

A forest's beauty masked by pollution
The growing green grass covered by litter
We need a more efficient solution
We can't solve this by throwing on glitter

Quatrain # 4 Beach Sunset

The day has ended, a new one to begin
Sunlight disappears behind a sand dune
The star dips down, bidding us farewell
And is replaced by the great white moon

Quatrain # 3 Peaceful Night

Night has fallen, its the time for dreams
Stars twinkle, the old man gleams
Owl hoots are heard in the trees
and cricket chirps are carried by the breeze

Free Verse # 3

Sometimes I sit and wonder about,
the things that happen in there
The forest is vast, and unpredictable
so many things to explore
Do trees really whisper?
Does money grow on trees?
The forest is a secret
I'll never know it all.
